PURPOSE OF ROLE

Your role is to support the safe, efficient and professional delivery of technical operations across Kynren – The Storied Lands. Working from both the Park Technical Suite and attraction technical rooms, you will assist in overseeing site-wide technical activities, supporting the operation and maintenance of show systems within attractions across the park.

You will operate technical systems independently and as part of a wider technical team, contributing to show delivery, a robust preparatory system, and holistic operational readiness. You will be expected to make informed technical decisions in the interest of safety and continuity, working proactively within a dynamic live environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Embody the Kynren Spirit at all times, maintaining professionalism, positivity and a genuine smile in every interaction.

Technical

  • Operate audio, lighting, playback and show control systems across park attractions in accordance with training and operational procedures.
  • Support the daily opening, testing and closing of technical systems to ensure show readiness.
  • Monitor system performance from the Park Technical Suite and respond to faults or irregularities promptly.
  • Undertake basic fault finding and implement safe corrective actions within your competency level. Escalate complex technical issues to the Chief Technical Officer without delay.
  • Support site-wide outdoor sound systems during live operation periods.

Other Duties

  • To undertake any other duties which may reasonably be required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Experience in theatre, live events or performance-based technical operations.
  • Practical knowledge of audio, lighting and show control systems.
  • Ability to operate technical equipment independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in the interest of safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced live environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to facilitate inter-departmental communication.

Desirable

  • Technical qualifications in production, theatre technology or related disciplines.
  • Experience working within an attraction or theme park environment.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Familiarity with working outdoors and in mixed operational environments.
